Plainfield, New Jersey, USA— The phrase “on the scene” is usually used in the media world meaning to arrive at the site of an event or happening or to become an important part of a situation, activity or culture.
Video Director and Producer, Allen Brown, is not only on the scene but he has taken it upon himself to take the scene of the current and forever evolving social media entity and create the Social Scene.
In 2014, during his junior year of college (Albertus Magnus College - New Haven, CT), Brown introduced a movement called Operation Push the Envelope (OPTE), which sole purpose was to motivate and encourage the millennial generation whether it be in the perseverance and grind of entrepreneurship or the inspiration to stand up and fight against the negligence of our freedoms in society. While creating ideas and brand-building OPTE over the next couple of years, this movement then turned into the Social Push Club in 2016, where Brown recruited others, developed his talent as a video producer/director and used his artistry and creativity to tell stories digitally and use social media as his main platform.
With consistent studying, learning and hard work, he took his craft to the next level and created the first project of the Social Push Club, the new hit web series, The Social Scene (2017). The Social Scene is a branch of the Social Push Club and is a show that gives everyday people of different cultures, ethnicities, lifestyles and backgrounds a chance to come together and give their opinion, and facts, about many different topics ranging from pop culture to worldwide news. Brown allows his cast to keep it real (“Keep it 100!”) and be themselves in the series and that rawness is the best part about it - knowing that you’re getting the real thing, from real people makes it all the more relatable.
Brown says that his goal of the show is, “…to be an authority over the set trends, ideals and culture in an age where digital presences are so prevalent.” (Allen Brown, Social Push Club)
In a society where social and digital media has such an impact on our lives and during a time where it has become one of our main sources of information, the freshness and positive vibe of The Social Scene series could not have come at a better time.
On the playlist of your life, when you are pushing towards anything whether it be in athletics and competition or in everyday life when working towards a goal, or you think of the word ‘push’ in general, songs like Paul Engemann’s 1983 “Push It To The Limit (Scarface)” or more recently, well-known rapper and entrepreneur, Rick Ross’s 2006 single “Push It” may come to mind.
Allen Brown and The Social Push Club/Social Scene family surely push it…
but they don't see limits, they exceed them.
